Metamodernism and its relevance for today

AMRES ART became a co-organizer of the first international scientific conference about modernism in Lithuania at the well-recognized contemporary art fair ArtVilnius. In the conference “Metamodernism and its relevance today: How can the creative mind be developed?” we discussed the concept of metamodernism proposed by academics to describe today’s culture, including its features and practical manifestations in society and art. During the event, cultural theorists, art critics and business representatives discussed different manifestations of the aesthetics of our time, turning points in creativity, and the evaluation of art. The conference was also attended by the founder of the concept of metamodernism, Dr. Robin van den Akker.
